Leona Lewis has admitted that she often thinks about tying the knot with boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa.

The singer, who won The X Factor in 2006, has been dating the electrician since she was at school. They live together in Hackney, east London.

‘We’ve been together for a long time and hopefully we’ve got a long future together,’ she says. ‘I’d like to get married one day – I’m very much in love.’

And Leona, 23, says she wouldn’t have been able to handle the past 2 years without him.

‘Lou’s always been supportive,’ she tells OK!. ‘His support is crucial to me. I’ve got a lot to thank him for.

‘I’m so fortunate to have him in my life. He’s the one and only for me.’

A friend of Leona Lewis could be heading for X Factor victory.

Duane Lamonte, 23, grew up with the star after they met at the same youth club.

The Londoner decided to audition when he saw his female friend win the ITV talent show and follow it up with huge chart success.

Lamonte performs the Stevie Wonder track Lately in Saturday night’s episode of the X Factor.

He tells the judges of his relationship with the Bleeding Love singer: “My family and Leona Lewis’s family are very close. Leona and I went to a youth club together and my family and her family grew up together. So when I saw Leona win the show I thought I want a piece of that.”

Judge Louis Walsh told the aspiring singer: “I think you have really good potential,” while Simon Cowell called him a “good old fashioned Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder type of singer”, adding: “I think the competition needs someone like you”.

LEONA LEWIS suffered a bout of nerves at a MTV Video Music Award afterparty on Sunday (07Sep08) - because she could see her idol CHRISTINA AGUILERA in the front row.
The Bleeding Love hitmaker was able to keep her nerves under control as she stepped onstage at the televised VMA ceremony to duet with Lil Wayne in front of millions of viewers.
But the star-struck 23-year-old panicked at a post-VMA bash later in the evening when she was told Aguilera would be watching her up-close.
She says, “I was more nervous at the aftershow party. I was performing and the place was full of celebrities.
“Just before I was due to go on the organiser came over and said, ‘Christina Aguilera has asked to sit in the front row as she wants to see you and there is Paris, Mischa Barton…’ I must have looked like I was panicking as my assistant pulled me away!”
