While other celebrities are happy to frolic around on the beach wearing nothing more than a skimpy bikini, singer Leona Lewis revealed just how much she hated being photographed while on holiday.The stunning singer was mortified when she was snapped in Barbados with electrician boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa.

‘Being pictured in my bikini was a nightmare, especially for somebody like me,’ she told Closer magazine.‘I’m a normal-sized girl and it’s embarrassing.

‘Nobody in their right mind wants to see rough-looking bikini shots of themselves from every dodgy angle. It was horrid’, said the singer of the shots taken last Christmas.

She credits LA life with improving her figure.”I ride horses and do spinning classes,” she says, although she says she won’t spend her life working out, even though she’s not thrilled with her arms.

And when it comes to naming her favourite part of her body, it tellingly fits in with her embarrassment at those beach shots that she says “my smile”.Leona has vowed to stay true to her roots, despite Simon Cowell’s attempts to turn her into a diva.

The singer has revealed the X Factor judge wants her to be more demanding.‘I remember Simon telling me that now I finished my album he wanted to hear more demands from me when I work,” she says.‘I thought it was funny - I don’t need anything special to be happy.‘I have everything I need. I don’t need to order people around and all that. I’m still the same old Leona.

‘Simon’s still the most famous person in my phone. He’ll love the fact that I said that.’

Lewis, who earlier this month was named Best Pop Female and Best New Act at the World Music Awards, says she does not even have a personal assistant or any security guards travelling with her.She tends to shun glitzy events and previously said: ‘I just like to stay at home and chill out with my friends, maybe go for a nice meal.‘I like to relax and take it easy - I’m a low-key kind of girl.’

And rather than splashing out a small fortune on a 10-bedroom mansion, she is instead buying a flat in Hackney, close to where she grew up.‘When you’re settled it’s hard to move,’ she said.

‘I love the flat – it’s really private and the neighbours are cool - and it’s very close to my mum and dad.’

Leona Lewis has revealed that she has a list of things she wants to do before she’ll consider settling down.

The 23-year-old X Factor winner has been dating her boyfriend Lou Al-Chama, 23, for 6 years. 

But although they’ve just bought a 2-bedroom house in Hackney, East London, they have no plans to marry.

‘That’s quite a way off, I think. I have a lot more that I want to do before I settle down,’ Leona tells Now.

She says Lou’s very protective of her and admits it’s hard when they have to spend time apart.

‘I make sure I’m never away for so long that I think: “Oh my gosh! I need to go home now,”‘ Leona says.

‘We speak every day and there are many ways to communicate. I’m on iChat a lot. But it’s not like I’m not going to see him again!’

Taking to Sin City for charitable reasons, Justin Timberlake hosted his very own “Justin Timberlake And Friends Concert” at Planet Hollywood Theatre in Las Vegas on Friday night (October 17).

Also on hand for the evening were Justin’s actress girlfriend Jessica Biel, along with fellow performers including Leona Lewis, Rihanna and Will.I.Am.

During the night’s events, Justin reportedly retired his hit song “Sexy Back” - telling the audience that they were hearing it live for the very last time. The performers/special guests then headed into Prive nightclub for an afterparty that followed the big show.

According to AP reports, JT’s event benefited Shriners Hospitals for Children, an organization “dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care to children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.”

Opting to perform in the States as opposed to collecting her MOBO Awards last night (October 15), Leona Lewis took to the stage for her “first ever live concert” as part of the Third Annual Hennessy Artistry Concert Series.

After the six-song show at New York City’s Gotham Hall, Lewis told press on-hand: “Performing to people is always what this has been about for me. I’ve been waiting quite a while to do this.”

Leona continued, “I’ve performed live at various showcases and TV shows over the last 12 months but this was a completely different experience. I can’t wait to do it again.”

Meanwhile, Miss Lewis reportedly received a negative reaction from the crown at MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards due to her non-appearance.

Nonetheless, the 23-year-old picked up two awards including Best Album for the multi million-selling “Spirit,” as well as Best Video for “Bleeding Love”.
